Not only did a whole bunch more characters make our list of this week’s Soap Winners and Losers, but so did we — especially those of us who are fans of one show (that we are now confident is about to get the glow-up of all glow-ups). WTH do we mean? Read on, and all will become clear!

Winner: Naomi, Beyond the Gates

By making herself the target of Kat and Chelsea’s animosity, the shrewd attorney gave the estranged cousins a mutual enemy to reconnect over!

Loser: Gus, Days of Our Lives

Just as he was winning us over, his jealousy started getting the better of him and, while babysitting Trey, he flat-out told Javi that babies aren’t really his thing. So long, Gus!

Winners: ‘Lane’ Fans, Young & Restless

No more Aristotle Dumas. No more hedge mazes. No more corporate malarkey. Lily and Cane finally gave their shippers the reunion they wanted from the start.

Loser: Dylan, Bold & Beautiful

She has way too much going for her to be making Will her priority. Worse, she’s ignoring the fact that Electra could can her for macking on her ex. It wasn’t that long ago that Dylan was living in her car.

Winners: Tate and Sarah, Days of Our Lives

Despite them not believing Holly when she repeatedly insisted she wasn’t on drugs (again), she forgave the pair… no fuss, no muss (and sadly, no drama!).

Loser: Anastasia, Beyond the Gates

The snobby socialite hit on hunky Kial, only to have him soundly reject her advances and have her own tawdry past (politely) thrown in her face.

Winners: Young & Restless Viewers

After enduring endless kidnappings and psychos-of-the-week, the audience is finally getting not just new headwriters — welcome, Dan O’Connor and Jamey Giddens! — but new headwriters about whom we’re really excited. (Here’s why.)

Loser: Sheila, Bold & Beautiful

The delusional psycho thinks she deserves an award (or at least the love of her son and his family) for not having tried to kill anyone for a while.

Winner: Susan, Days of Our Lives

That a character this cartoonish is still trotted out regularly is nothing short of a miracle. Now whether the show should be doing so is a story for another day.

Losers: ‘Avan’ Fans, General Hospital

We were pretty heavily invested in the potential of an Ethan/Ava pairing when his portrayer Nathan Dean was suddenly recast and the character, sent packing.

Winner: Nikki, Young & Restless

In a special, standalone episode, the stripper-turned-socialite-turned-exec got her sight back after being blind for only a few short weeks!

Loser: Will, Bold & Beautiful

Electra dumped him because of his violent tendencies, then went and smacked Dylan herself. Yet Will is still begging Princess Pouts-a-Lot for another chance? Bro, come on.

Winner: Nicole, Beyond the Gates

She got the extreme pleasure of being the one to tell Leslie that Ted and Shanice had officially declared their love for one another!

Loser: Stephanie, Days of Our Lives

Just as Joy seemed about to relent and sign a custody agreement that would allow Alex’s wife to stay in the picture, Stephanie opened her mouth and blew it all up again.

Winner: Willow, General Hospital

Just in the nick of time, Jack came through with the incriminating evidence against Drew to keep him from going after his wife for “locking him in” his own body.

Loser: Tate, Days of Our Lives

With new bestie Gwen missing, the guy just lost his only paying customer who isn’t a member of his extended family!
