American film and TV star Sydney Sweeney has been spotted at the SCG cheering on the Swans for their home fixture against Melbourne on Sunday afternoon.
Pre-game, the Euphoria actress was gifted her own number 21 Sydney Swans guernsey by Errol Gulden who shares the number, as well as AFL women’s player Taylor Smith.
Sweeney, 28, later appeared on the broadcast cheering for the home side flanked by her father Steven, both donning bright red Swans caps, and her good friend Kelley McCartney.
It wasn’t the star’s first experience at an AFL match, first invited into the Swans club rooms in 2023 while filming her romantic comedy Anyone but You in the harbour city.
Sharing her exploits on social media in her latest trip, Sweeney expressed her delight to have returned “home”.

“Back at my spot, definitely missed this,” she said, captioning a story post that took followers into accommodation overlooking what appeared to be Bondi Beach.
Sweeney also shared her experience climbing the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge with her loved ones, claiming her father owed her a trip to Sydney due to sharing her name with it.
Captioning an image atop of the landmark, Sweeney wrote: “It was a bucket list trip for him and he named me after the place so he had to come see it finally right?”
