Be transported to Hogwarts, Neverland, A Galaxy Far Far Away and more this Saturday, May 30, as Orchestra Iowa performs blockbuster hits from composer John Williams outside at Hy-Vee Amphitheater in Centennial Park.
A Night at the Movies: The Music of John Williams is presented by MidWestOne, A Division Of Nicolet National Bank. Fans can look forward to hearing Williams’ iconic scores from Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, E.T., Superman and more.
This event is ticketed and open to all ages. Several price zones are available at orchestraiowa.org, with tickets ranging from $12.50-$22.50 for children and $25-$45 for adults. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended to secure the best viewing spots on the lawn; however, walk-up ticket sales will be available Saturday night as well, pending availability. All attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets, as seating is not provided.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m., and ticketholders can enjoy free movie-inspired activities before the 7:30 p.m. show. Several vendors will be at the park with food and treats for purchase. Alcoholic beverages will also be for sale.
Parking at Centennial Park is $10 per vehicle upon arrival, or attendees can take advantage of the free shuttle option or select to bike or walk to the park. Full event details can be found here.
Hy-Vee Amphitheater is a new outdoor stage in Centennial Park, located at 1565 St Andrews Drive. Ten events are scheduled for the amphitheater’s inaugural season. The full schedule of events and details for each show can be found at northlibertyiowa.org/shows.
