The head of the US Treasury, Scott Bessent, said that the United States blocked Iran’s cryptocurrency for about one billion dollars.
“We, I believe, confiscated about a billion dollars of their (Iranians’) cryptocurrency,” he said during the Reagan Economic Forum.
In April, Bessent confirmed the blocking of $344 million worth of cryptocurrency on wallets that are allegedly linked to Iran.
