During his recent speech, Vijay made a striking statement: “I am the power center.” But why did he say this, and who was he indirectly targeting?
For the past few weeks, ever since the growing buzz around Vijay’s political journey with TVK, Trisha’s name has repeatedly surfaced in discussions, even in national media.
Several speculations began circulating that Trisha could emerge as a “power center” in Tamil Nadu politics alongside Vijay.
Adding fuel to the rumors, an old video of Trisha expressing her desire to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu one day also resurfaced online and went viral.
Amid all this, many people started drawing comparisons to the iconic MGR–Jayalalithaa political era, suggesting that a similar dynamic could be unfolding between Vijay and Trisha in Tamil Nadu politics.
Now, according to several Tamil media reports, Vijay’s statement, “I am the (only) power center”, is being viewed as an indirect response to these ongoing speculations and a subtle dig aimed at shutting down the rumors surrounding Trisha’s political influence.
Moreover, Trisha’s recent public appearances have further fueled these speculations.
Soon after Vijay’s political victory, she visited his residence, attended his swearing-in celebrations with visible enthusiasm today, and was even seen warmly hugging Vijay’s mother in public, all of which showcased the close bond she shares with Vijay’s family.
These moments led many people online to believe that Trisha could hold significant influence in Vijay’s political journey.
Against this backdrop, Vijay’s statement, “I am the power center,” appears to send a clear message to the people of Tamil Nadu that no parallel or external power center will influence his leadership.
