CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – After sweeping all of its races at the Lake Wheeler Invitational, the Virginia Varsity Eight has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Crew of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
CREW OF THE WEEK – Virginia Varsity Eight
- Earned three victories at the Lake Wheeler Invitational, as the Cavaliers won 14 of their 15 races over the weekend.
- Crossed the line in 6:16.090 in its opening race on Friday, defeating six other teams including No. 15 Alabama.
- Closed out Friday at 6:10.970, beating six teams including No. 14 Miami and No. 25 Oklahoma.
- Clocked its best time of 6:09.640 in its final race on Saturday, defeating No. 13 Duke and No. 22 North Carolina.
