COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Incoming Maryland basketball freshman Baba Oladotun has been selected to the 2026 USA Basketball U18 National Team Training Camp in Colorado Springs as announced today. Oladotun is one of 35 players selected to the training camp which begins on May 21 at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. The 12-member team will be announced prior to departing for the 2026 FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup slated for June 1-7 in Leon, Mexico.

Oladotun, a five-star wing from James Hubert Blake High School in Rockville, was the No. 10 overall recruit in the nation, the No. 1 prospect in Maryland, and the No. 3 ranked small forward when he signed with the Terps this past November. He is the second-highest rated recruit to sign with Maryland behind Diamond Stone (No. 8) and ahead of Derik Queen (No. 12), Jalen Smith (No. 15), and Darius Adams (No. 15). He chose Maryland over Arkansas, Georgetown, and Kentucky.

The 6-foot-10 wing also played in AAU for Team Durant on the EYBL circuit. His father, Ibrahim, played at Virginia Tech from 1989-91 and professionally in England and Greece.
Oladotun is the third five-star signee over the last three seasons joining Derik Queen (2024) and Darius Adams (2025). Originally, Oladotun was part of the 2027 high school class, but reclassified in August. In his junior season for Blake, he averaged 22.5 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.8 steals.

In addition to the 2026 U18 National Team Training Camp, Oladotun has been involved with USA Basketball since 2023. Last April, he was part of the 2025 USA Men’s Junior National Team April minicamp in San Antonio. He also took part in two Junior National Team minicamps in 2024 and one in 2023.

Maryland’s incoming freshman class of Oladotun, Austin Brown, Kaden House, and Adama Tambedou is one of the best in the nation ranking ninth overall.
