A lot of kids will be dressed up as Minions for Halloween, and the real banana-loving weirdos are back for spooky season.

The animated yellow dudes visit the golden age of Hollywood for “Minions & Monsters,” which is now available to watch on Peacock. There are all sorts of horror films on streaming services for Halloween, as well as a bunch of new movies. Sacha Baron Cohen brings back one of his more colorful characters for “Ali G: Who Iz I” on Prime Video, Scott Eastwood headlines the war movie “Lucky Strike” on Hulu, and John Candy, Martin Short and a bunch of iconic Canadian comedians are featured in the documentary “SCTV: The Greatest Show You’ve Never Heard Of” on Netflix.

Here are 10 new and notable movies you can stream right now:

‘Ali G: Who Iz I’

Sacha Baron Cohen directs and stars in the mockumentary that brings back his doo-rag-wearing, hip-hop nitwit from the 2000s “Da Ali G Show.” Ali is back on his cultural-appropriation tilt and also has a bundle of joy on the way, as he finds out his girlfriend Julie (Morgana Robinson) is eight months pregnant.

Where to watch: Prime Video

‘The Cycle’

Deborah Ann Woll headlines this surprisingly deep fright fest as a forensic anthropologist who’s thrown emotionally when the body of her estranged father inexplicably turns up at a crime scene where the victims have weird bite marks. It’s a cool, cop-show take on a classic horror trope, with an exquisitely designed (and totally freaky) monster.

Where to watch: Shudder

‘Disclosure Day’

When it comes to aliens on screen, Steven Spielberg is pretty much king. In the sci-fi thriller, a TV meteorologist (Emily Blunt) and a whistleblower (Josh O’Connor) get embroiled in an 80-year government cover-up of alien existence. Chases ensue and weird extraterrestrial stuff abounds on the way to a thought-provoking climax.

Where to watch: Peacock

‘Hungry’

There’s no fun and games here. The survival thriller stars Madison Davenport and Olivia Bernstone as besties on a Louisiana bayou boat cruise who are hoping to see some giant gators. Instead, they and other vacationers get attacked by a giant murderous hippo. Suffice it to say, he’s hungry hungry for blood.

Where to watch: Prime Video

‘The Invite’

Olivia Wilde’s best directorial effort is still “Booksmart” but this one is close. She also stars in the clever comedy with Seth Rogen as a couple in a passionless marriage whose relationship is shaken up by an alluring proposition from their neighbors (Edward Norton and Penélope Cruz) at an impromptu dinner party.

Where to watch: HBO Max

‘Lucky Strike’

Inspired by a true story, the World War II action thriller stars Scott Eastwood as a soldier during the 1944 Battle of the Bulge. After his unit is wiped out by Nazis in a surprise attack, the wounded American gets trapped behind enemy lines, then has to rely on his wits and a radio to avoid German foes and make it out alive.

Where to watch: Hulu

‘Masterplan’

In this action-comedy heist flick, an Italian hacker (Simona Tabasco) and a French demolitions expert (Victor Belmondo) are hired to steal the Mona Lisa by an English businessman (Stanley Tucci). He also reveals that – surprise! – he’s their long-lost father and they’re siblings, though they’re not totally trusting of dear ol’ new dad.

Where to watch: Prime Video

‘Minions & Monsters’

Naturally, high jinks are afoot with the return of the Minions. But this latest animated comedy is also a love letter to old-school Hollywood classics and creature features. The little yellow dudes take Tinseltown by storm in the 1920s and use a magic book to conjure an elder god and other weird beasts for their monster movie.

Where to watch: Peacock

‘Moana’

The original 2016 animated musical adventure is a buoyant voyage beyond the reef, and this slightly darker live-action remake (safely) runs it all back. Australian newcomer Catherine Lagaʻaia is the empowering teen wayfinder who sets sail with shapeshifting demigod Maui (played again by Dwayne Johnson, embracing his inner Fabio).

Where to watch: Disney+

‘SCTV: The Greatest Show You’ve Never Heard Of’

In the late 1970s, “SCTV” arrived as the scrappier, more gonzo Canadian counterpart to “Saturday Night Live” and found its own cult success. This documentary reunites some of the famous comedians who got their start on the sketch show, including Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, Martin Short and the late Catherine O’Hara.
