Game of Thrones fans looking for clues about the franchise’s move to the big screen have a new fact to ponder: The film’s working title is Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest.

The title was featured on a slide during Warner Bros.’ CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas last night. The working title was included in the studio’s “2027 and beyond” line-up.

Plot details remain scarce – pretty much non-existent, actually – but the film is sure to focus on Aegon I Targaryen, also known as Aegon The Conquerer who was the first Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. He’s the dragon-riding guy who created the Iron Throne, and his tale comes from George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels.

Beau Willimon, the House of Cards showrunner who also wrote for Disney+’s Andor, is writing Game of Thrones: Aegon’s Conquest.

Next up for the franchise is Season 3 of HBO’s Game prequel series House of the Dragon, returning this summer. A second season of Game prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been ordered.
