As a fashion editor, I like to think I’m tapped into the most coveted styles on the market. When a trend goes viral, it’s my job to analyze its popularity and test it out to see if it’s actually worth the hype. So, when one of my colleagues shared that Rag & Bone’s Atlas Linen Pants had received quite a bit of interest from our readers (yes, you!), I had to get my hands on a pair.
Rag & Bone calls these sought-after bottoms “the easiest pant of all the easy pants.” After trying them out for myself, I completely agree. Woven with a linen blend, the soft fabric is extremely lightweight. It practically feels like you’re wearing nothing at all.
These loose-fitting linen pants also boast a rope drawcord, an elastic waistband, and a wide-leg shape—all of which ensure extra comfort. They’re ideal for those moments when you’re not in the mood to deal with constricting jeans or stuffy slacks (see: travel).

Functionality aside, its stylish appeal is worth noting, too. With patched panels at the front and diagonal side pockets, these trousers embody a utilitarian attitude. But while inherently laid-back, they’re not confined to casual wear. Styled with a crisp button-down, elegant heeled sandals, and a leather-trimmed raffia bag, they can rise to more polished occasions.
As you can probably tell, my mind is already overflowing with Atlas Pant outfit ideas—and not just for summer, but also for fall. With plenty of cool mornings and warm afternoons ahead, a reliable pair of linen pants can serve as the perfect transitional staple.
To that end, I’m incorporating Rag & Bone’s Atlas bottoms into my autumn outfit rotation, and I’m showing you exactly how. Ahead, discover three looks that you’ll want to pin to your fall mood board. While I chose the brand’s tan colorway, you’ll find several other shades below.
Tailored to Perfection

I think I just found my new favorite work outfit. Enhanced with a tailored trench coat, this nine-to-five uniform feels incredibly elegant. Other pieces—like a glossy leather laptop bag and heeled sandals—elevate this look to the next level. If wearing open-toe shoes to work isn’t your thing, consider mesh ballet flats or high-vamp pumps.
As for styling the pants, I’d recommend tying them above the hips for a high-rise feel. Here, I’m wearing a size M, but I probably could have sized down as I had some extra room in the hips. However, if you’d prefer a baggy fit, then stick to your typical size.
Sporty-Chic

Rugby shirts have been trending for some time now, and they’re not going anywhere this fall. I’m embracing the style with this top decorated with bold stripes and a sharp collar.
For a casual feel, I allowed the bottoms to hang around my waistline for a low-slung silhouette. I’m really loving the tan colorway that I chose, but I also think this outfit would look just as great with white.
Less Is More

To know me is to understand that I’m a minimalist at heart. I’m partial toward streamlined constructions and neutral colors, so this outfit falls right in line with my personal style.
For those of you who want to follow my lead, you’ll be pleased to know that this look is extremely easy to put together. Simply style a buttoned cardigan over a white T-shirt, anchor your look in sleek shoes, and throw a brown suede tote over your shoulders. And voilà! You’ve got yourself an outfit that you’ll want to wear on repeat.
