Virgin Media Television has just announced the launch of Unfiltered with Lucy Kennedy, a brand-new, four-part entertainment series hosted by our favourite female Breakfast Show presenter. Premiering on Sunday, August 9, the show promises a fresh, funny, and deeply revealing take on the classic celebrity conversation.
Putting the suitcase into storage… For Now!
For years, Lucy has been Ireland’s ultimate house guest. In her iconic, award-winning series Livin’ with Lucy, she packed her bags and moved in with some of the biggest names in showbiz, from Jade Goody and Calum Best to Samantha Mumba and Jermaine Jackson, giving viewers an incredibly intimate look into celebrity lives. She first stole the nation’s hearts (and kept us laughing) alongside a certain pair of puppets on The Podge and Rodge Show, before going on to host everything from The Six O’Clock Show to Ireland’s Got Talent.
But for Unfiltered, Lucy is flipping the script. She is finally stepping away from her usual celebrity sleepovers and inviting guests into her own bespoke living room for a series of candid, entertaining chats.
Across four episodes, Unfiltered will bring together an eclectic mix of headline-makers, cultural commentators, and social media sensations. Carefully curated pairings will see guests from very different worlds come together in unexpected ways. From laugh-out-loud stories to honest confessions and heated debates, no topic is off-limits as Lucy gets beyond the headlines to uncover the real people behind the public personas.
Her natural ability to put people at ease, a skill honed through years of live radio and TV, is exactly what makes her the perfect host for Unfiltered. She creates an atmosphere where conversations flow freely, and surprises are never far away.
