Rihanna Is the Most Fabulous It Girl at Paris Fashion Week

In the wise words of The Princess Diaries’ Queen Clarisse Renaldi, “A queen is never late, everybody else is simply early.” And while Julie Andrews’s character may have been referring to the people of Genovia, the sentiment certainly applies to the fashion world as well.

Last night, Rihanna celebrated the first day of Paris Fashion Week with an appearance at the Matières Fécales Spring 2027 show (and proved that the party really doesn’t start until she walks in). Arriving fashionably late, as they say, the star delayed the runway by a full hour. But her lack of punctuality was, of course, more than made up for by her fabulous entrance.

For the occasion, Rihanna selected a striking two-piece set, crafted from shimmering gold tinsel that dripped from every seam. The top was designed with long, dramatic sleeves, a peplum waist, and a plunging neckline that exposed a sheer black bra underneath. The matching skirt was cut with an ankle-length hem, and the whole thing radiated with sparkle, turning the wearer into the most fabulous pom-pom ever seen.

The Fenty founder’s footwear, though less flashy than her gown, was equally as intriguing. From the front, the black Christian Louboutin shoes appeared to be a classic pair of pointed-toe pumps, but from the back, they revealed a softly curved heel.

Rihanna matched the shiny black with her patent-leather handbag, and added a gold necklace to finish things off. As for her glam, the star lined her lower lash in the same bright-red shade she painted her nails.
