Sean Fitzgerald’s sister has revealed what their parents REALLY think about his Love Island debut.

Our very own Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald made his Love Island debut on Monday night, as he headed into the villa as one of the OG Islanders.

The Irish star was last to arrive in the villa, alongside Islander Jasmine, with his fellow cast-mates immediately commenting on his new bleach blonde buzzcut.

Following his first night in the villa, where he coupled up with detective Lola, his sister appeared on Ireland AM to spill all the details.

When asked what it was like seeing him on screen, she confessed: “I was a ball of nerves yesterday, but I watch it every year. So I suppose even with the football and he’s on TikTok, you see him on screen. But seeing him in the villa, it was real.”

Speaking about their parents’ reaction to the show, she revealed: “They’re nervous. They watched it for the first time ever, and they enjoyed it, to be fair. They thought he came across really well and like natural.”

His sister, who is an avid Love Island watcher, revealed that she prepped her parents and that Sean got a talking-to before he flew out.

Referencing the fact that viewers were surprised by how mellow he was in the first episode, she insisted: “You can really see his personality on TikTok. And I feel like so far in last night’s episode, you didn’t really show that side of him yet, but hopefully now in the next couple of episodes.”

Speaking about her brother coupling up with detective Lola, she said: “I really like her. I feel like so far, she’s coming across quite shy.”

“But hopefully, you know, in the next couple of episodes,  she will kind of come out of her comfort zone and stuff. But I think it might she might calm Sean down a bit sometimes,” she added.
