Shakira‘s Oct. 3 Madrid concert has made history as the most-viewed livestream performance by a female artist on Amazon Music to date.

The streaming service shared the news via press release on Sunday (Oct. 4), the day after the Colombian superstar’s performance was broadcast live. The show was part of Shakira’s 12-date residency in Spain’s capital at Shakira Stadium on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.

Beyond Shakira’s anticipated set full of hits spanning three decades of her career in Latin music, the Oct. 3 concert included a very special surprise: Dua Lipa appeared onstage with the star to perform an acoustic “Antología,” from Shakira’s 1997 Pies Descalzos album — an intimate moment that Shak gushed was “what this tour was missing.”

“For me, it’s an honor and a privilege to sing this song, which means so much to me, with this woman who is so admired and loved around the world,” Shakira said while introducing Dua Lipa to the crowd of more than 50,000 fans in front of them, plus those at home catching their duet via livestream, which viewers were able to watch via Amazon Music, Prime Video and Twitch.

Post-show, Dua Lipa shared her excitement on Instagram, writing in Spanish, “I felt that you, me, and the audience were one. Very grateful to take home such a beautiful memory!!!”

Shakira Stadium was built as a temporary venue within Madrid’s Iberdrola Music complex specifically for the star’s concert residency in the city, which opened on Sept. 18 and wraps with a 12th date on Oct. 11.

Amazon Music’s livestream of Saturday night’s Shakira concert led the streamer’s 2026 Women Shaping Latin Music campaign, celebrating the artists, sounds and cultural movements shaping Latin music.
