If you purchased certain Asian-style frozen foods at your local Trader Joe’s or Kroger between October and February, they may be under recall because they could contain glass.
Ajinomoto Foods North America Inc., based in Portland, Oregon, began the recall of nearly 3.4 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice products shipped to Canada and sold at Trader Joe’s nationwide, including in Michigan, due to customer reports of glass in the products, according to a Feb. 19 notice from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
