Jewelry artist Karla Marina Aguirre has built a creative home in Tulsa’s Arts District where culture, craftsmanship and self-expression come together. As the founder and owner of Colors of Etnika, Aguirre designs bold, handcrafted jewelry that reflects global influences and the individuality of the people who wear it.
Originally opening her shop more than a decade ago, Aguirre later expanded into designing her own pieces, drawing inspiration from her Guatemalan roots, world travel and a deep appreciation for art and color. Each design is meant to tell a story — not just of culture and heritage, but of confidence and personal identity.
Located in the heart of the Tulsa Arts District, Colors of Etnika operates as both a boutique and a working studio, allowing visitors to see the creative process up close. Aguirre says the connection with the community is just as important as the jewelry itself, creating a welcoming space where art, culture and conversation naturally intersect.
Today, Colors of Etnika continues to serve as a creative landmark in downtown Tulsa, offering statement pieces that celebrate individuality while honoring the traditions and cultures that inspire them.
