Where can I watch free outdoor movies in Merced?

The city of Merced is bringing back its free Movies in the Park series, giving families a chance to enjoy films under the stars throughout the summer.

“One of the best things about summer in Merced is the warm, comfortable evenings — perfect for enjoying free outdoor movies with friends and family,” the city said.

The series features one movie each month at locations across the city and runs through Friday, Sept. 18.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early for pre-show activities.

“Bring your folding chairs, blankets, and get cozy for the movie starts at dusk!” the city said.

This year’s screenings will be held at The Art Kamangar Center at The Merced Theatre, Rahilly Park and the Merced Regional Sports Complex.

What free movies are showing in Merced this summer?

The next Movies in the Park event is scheduled for Friday, July 17.

Here’s the free Movies in the Park lineup:

  • “The Goonies” — Friday, July 17, at 6 p.m. at The Art Kamangar Center, 301 West Main St., Merced
  • “Mario Galaxy Movie” — Friday, Aug. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at Rahilly Park, 3400 North Parsons Ave., Merced
  • “Wicked For Good” — Friday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Merced Regional Sports Complex, 1850 Wardrobe Ave., Merced

Where can I watch free movies with brunch in Merced?

Moviegoers looking for a weekend outing can enjoy brunch and a movie at The Mainzer, 655 West Main St. in Merced.

The restaurant is hosting Summer Brunch Movies, a free movie series held every other Sunday at 10 a.m. throughout the summer.

Guests can watch family-friendly films while enjoying a full brunch menu available for purchase.

The Summer Brunch Movies lineup includes:

  • “Zootopia 2” — Sunday, July 12
  • “Lilo & Stitch” — Sunday, July 26
  • “Sing!” — Sunday, Aug. 9
  • “Freakier Friday” — Sunday, Aug. 23

Admission is free, but restaurant officials recommend making a reservation.

What free movies are showing at Atwater museum?

Movie fans can watch films under the stars this summer at Castle Air Museum in Atwater as part of its monthly free movie series.

The museum will host outdoor screenings featuring movies with an aviation theme at 5050 Santa Fe Drive in Atwater.

Admission and parking are free. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.

Here are the movies included in the series:

  • “Redtails” on Saturday, July 18
  • “Dr. Strangelove” on Sept. 19
  • “Flight of the Intruder” on Oct. 17
