Olivia Rodrigo’s third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated June 27.
According to analytics platform Luminate, the album earned 485,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 18, marking the biggest debut week of Olivia’s career and the largest first-week performance for any solo artist’s album in 2026.
Previously, the Filipino-American singer also topped the Billboard 200 with her studio albums “Sour” (2021) and “Guts” (2023).
According to the music publication, the Billboard 200 chart “ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate.”
An “equivalent album unit” is Billboard’s formula in measuring an album’s popularity by combining sales, downloads, and streams into one number.
Earlier, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” became Spotify’s most-streamed album of 2026 in a single day by a female artist.
Among the tracks featured on the album are “Drop Dead,” “The Cure,” and the TikTok-famous song “Begged.”
In 2024, Olivia visited the Philippines for her first concert in the country.
During the sold-out show, Olivia proudly embraced her Filipino heritage by thanking her kababayans, wearing a “Miss So Filipina” sash, sporting a statement shirt that read “Pinoy Pride,” and more. — LA, GMA News
