STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific softball scored two runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game but a walk-off three-run homer from LMU sent the Lions home 6-3 winners in game three of the series on Sunday afternoon at Smith Field.

Junior Zaedi Tagalog was the Tiger (16-32, 4-11 WCC) to tie the ballgame off a two-run RBI double to left field. The only hit of the afternoon for Tagalog (1-for-3), the multi-RBI effort was her fourth of the season and means five of her 16 season RBIs have come in the last six games. Pacific’s other run came as the game’s first run when junior Bailey Boetjer knocked her third homer of the season over the left field wall. In addition to the big fly, the junior infielder drew a walk to reach base twice.

Meanwhile, redshirt senior Olivia Silvestre notched her tenth multi-hit bid during the game going 2-for-2 at the plate, she also reached via a walk and hit-by-pitch. After her walk in the third inning, she stole a base.

Freshman Carley Mulcahey shouldered the entirety of the contest for the Tigers in the circle, going six innings giving up all six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two. The loss is her third of the season, dropping her record to 2-3.

Up next for Pacific is the final week of the season, which features a Wednesday midweek game at Stanford before a three-game series at Bill Simoni Field against San Diego to end the season Friday through Sunday. Sunday’s game against the Toreros is Pacific’s senior day and will feature special pre-game festivities and the senior day ceremony postgame.
